About

The aim of the project is to elucidate the connection between genetics and molecular traits in people living with HIV. The 2000HIV cohort is a large, multi-omics cohort of people living with HIV. The cohort consists of 2000 individuals from Europe, Africa and Asia. The cohort is described in detail in Vos et al. [1] . For this project, we focused on the European individuals (n ~ 1300).

Analyses

We performed Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) mapping for three baseline omics (gene expression, proteins and metabolites), and (most importantly) cytokine production. The European cohort was split into a discovery cohort (n ~ 1000) and a validation cohort (n ~ 250). QTL mapping was done using our snakemake pipeline QTLmake [2] .
